So my very first "Others" video. I hope you enjoy this video, if not there will be a proper and enjoyable video coming in one week, stay tuned. The Long Island Steel Train run by Pacific National is a freight train that runs from MFT (Melbourne Freight Terminal) and the Long Island Steel Mill near Hastings. It runs once a day and sometimes twice, every day of the week. It runs on the Frankston and Stony Point lines. It then utilises the branch line which breaks off the mainline at Hastings to the steel mill. In this video we see the train at various locations along the Frankston line throughout January 2017.

Watch in 1080p for best viewing. (please excuse camera movements) After a brief trip to Austell, Georgia the past weekend we planned a trip down under for the week and was able to get a few trains in about two hours in Melbourne. The V/Line railway runs on these tracks in Melbourne with freight trains at night and passenger trains during the day. We caught many trains during that short period of time including passenger trains, Cargo locomotives, switching, four way meets, and the A Class A66 Locomotive in the engine shop. (wasn't able to get it leaving) A66's last run on the official roster of the V/Line was June 18-19th of 2015 where it would be placed in storage until further Excursion uses a couple times a year. " The A Class locomotives were a complete rebuild of a number of Victori...
